Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh had his Ordinary Level Education at Nyakrom Secondary Technical School and joined Swedru Secondary School in 1988 for his Advanced Level Education and completed in 1990. He later earned\u00a0a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with Philosophy and a Master of Philosophy in Political Science with focus on Public Sector Productivity from the University of Ghana, Legon. Subsequently, he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science with specialization in Public Policy Making from the same university.<\/div><\/article>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

He lectured at the Department of Political Science at the University of Ghana and served as an adjunct lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College and the Kofi Annan International Peace Training Centre, Ghana.<\/p>

He has published in both Local and International Journals in areas such as Parliament and Public Policy Making, Taxation Policy, Traditional and Modern Political Orders, Institutional Development, Judicial Politics, Elections and Democracy among others.<\/p>

Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh served on the Examiners\u2019 Board, School of Social Sciences Board, Legon Hall Tutorial Board and Legon Hall Council, Member of the Governing Board of Nyakrom Secondary Technical School for seven years, Vice Chairman of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of the Achimota School, in charge of Academic Performance from 2017-2021. He was a member of the Academic Boards of the Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping and Training Centre, as well as the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College for five years and two years respectively. He has featured on the World Bank Platforms, discussing youth empowerment and the development trajectories of Ghana.<\/p>

Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh serves as an External Examiner for a number of Universities in Ghana. He is an Assessor for the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission. He has been on the Board of the Ghana Statistical Service where he chairs its Human Resource Committee, a position he has held since May 2022. He is a member of the Audit Service Board of Ghana as well as the Council of GIMPA. A member of the Scholarship Committee of the Grace Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, West Lands in Accra.<\/p>

Until his appointment as Acting Head of the Civil Service in August, 2023 and subsequent confirmation as substantive Head of the Civil Service in November, 2023 by H.E. the President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh served as the Chief Director for the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs for almost five (5) years where he contributed significantly to issues of National development through stakeholder engagements with the Minority and Majority in Parliament, the Media, Academia, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and the general public. He had been the Chairperson of the Civil Service Week Planning Committee\u00a0for four (4) consecutive years (2020 \u2013 2023).
